RENIC participates in 13ENISE in a European Cooperation Panel

On October 22, 13ENISE, the International Meeting on Information Security under the slogan “Cybersecurity in the connected industry: from threat to opportunity” was inaugurated. More than 2,500 professionals and entrepreneurs gathered in León to attend the professional meeting and business forum of reference in Spain regarding cybersecurity.
Within this framework, the European Cooperation Panel took place: “a shared strategy for the cybersecurity industry”, where Javier López, current president of RENIC, made his speech. Javier took the opportunity to present the network of excellence and its members, remembering its background with the R+D+I map in cybersecurity, detailing the research centers in Spain and their research lines in cybersecurity. Different initiatives and objectives of the network, which are included below, were also announced:
- Increase the leadership and positioning of R+D+I of cybersecurity at European and international level.
- Strengthen scientific and technological excellence to transfer innovative solutions to the market.
- Promote scientific innovation, technological development, and transfer to industry.
- Identify, attract, generate and retain cybersecurity research talent at the national level.
- Strengthen cooperation with initiatives that allow exploiting the capacities of the research environment.
