The University of Cantabria joins RENIC

La Universidad de Cantabria se incorpora a RENIC

The Spanish Network of Excellence in Cybersecurity Research (RENIC) includes, since June 2021, The University of Cantabria (UC) as a new member.
The Campus of International Excellence of the University of Cantabria, called Cantabria International Campus, is a model of work and interaction with society, valued and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, as well as the teaching and research quality of this University.

The School of Industrial Engineering and Telecommunications (DICOM) is focused on fields related to Information and Communications Technologies and counts with six research groups:

  • Electromagnetics
  • Microwave and Radio Systems Engineering
  • Systems Engineering, Antennas and Radio Propagation
  • Telematics Engineering
  • Radiofrequency and Microwaves
  • Advanced Signal Processing

DICOM participates in the Joint Doctoral Program in Information and Communication Technologies in Mobile Networks, together with the universities of the Pais Vasco, Zaragoza, A Coruña and Oviedo.

The different areas of Cybersecurity in which UC works through DICOM, lead naturally to its meeting with RENIC.
