IMDEA Networks Foundation joins RENIC

Since September, RENIC has a new member: the IMDEA Networks Foundation.

IMDEA Networks is the public research institute for computer networks and cybersecurity. It is an internationally renowned centre at the forefront of developing the network principles and technologies of the future, through its cutting-edge research in areas such as privacy and security, IoT, 5G and 6G, cloud computing, data analytics, blockchain and artificial intelligence.

However, it is in cybersecurity where IMDEA Networks attaches particular importance, working on the following lines of research:

  1. Internet analysis and measurements,
  2. security in computer systems,
  3. data privacy and transparency.

IMDEA’s objectives include:

  • The development of excellence in computer engineering research.
  • Technology transfer to industries of the environment to improve their capacity for innovation and competitiveness.
  • Technology transfer to spin-offs to promote the launch of new products and services to the global market.
  • The attraction of international talent.
  • Collaboration with the industrial sector, research organisations and educational institutions in Madrid.
